Delhi, Gateway to Inner Awakening

Your journey begins in Delhi, a city where tradition meets modernity. Here, you'll explore historical sites like the Red Fort and Humayun's Tomb as well as a variety of temples, but your focus will be on your inner self. The Taj Mahal, Agra

From Delhi, you'll make your way to the enchanting city of Agra, home to the Taj Mahal. This architectural masterpiece offers a glimpse into the eternal love story that transcends the physical realm. Rishikesh, the Serene Yogic Sanctuary

David Sunshine will share his three decades of wealth of knowledge, wisdom, and passion generated from his lifelong love for India and personal journeys into yoga, Hindu mysticism and Saivism. David's teachings of yoga blend the wisdom of Yoga, Eastern philosophy, meditation, somatic movement techniques and the principles of Ayurveda to assist students in their physical, emotional, and spiritual growth. On this journey he will help you connect with the extraordinary soul of North India and its people and dive deep into the rich heritage and learnings.

A healthy balance of adventure, yoga, and chilling poolside. All activities are optional, you can stick with the group or venture out on your own.

This schedule is to give you an idea of how the week will look, things may shift as we get closer to the retreat as we factor in things like weather, and total attendance.

Dharamsala Immersion (optional)

If you want to take your trip a bit further, extend your adventure with this enriching 6-day excursion into the heart of Tibetan culture and spirituality from Mar 28 - April 2. Dharamsala beckons you to explore its monastic atmosphere, visit the Namgyal Monastery, and pay your respects at the Kalachakra Temple. Immerse yourself in the vibrant Tibetan culture by shopping for handicrafts and savoring authentic Tibetan cuisine. Gain insights into Tibetan education and resilience with a visit to the Tibetan Children's Village, and Tibetan Government in Exile. This extension offers an exciting experience that deepens your connection with Tibetan Buddhist spirituality and culture, leaving you with lasting memories of this serene mountain enclave.

Day 1: Delhi

Join the tour group in Delhi at the Metropolitan Hotel where we have a day of leisure and sight seeing.

Day 2: Dharamsala

Upon arrival, you'll be greeted by the serene atmosphere of this mountain enclave, often referred to as "Little Lhasa." Check in to your comfortable accommodations and take a moment to breathe in the fresh mountain air. The afternoon dive headfirst into Tibetan spirituality. Visit the Namgyal Monastery, a place of deep meditation and religious study, where you can witness monks engaged in their daily rituals. Pay your respects at the Kalachakra Temple, an exquisite place of worship that exudes tranquility and spiritual significance.

Day 3: Norbulingka Institute and Tibetan Culture Immersion

Begin your day with a visit to the Norbulingka Institute, a center dedicated to the preservation of Tibetan arts and culture. Roam through lush gardens adorned with vibrant flowers and traditional Tibetan architecture. Witness artisans meticulously crafting thangka paintings, intricate woodwork, and colorful textiles. Day 4: Tibetan Education and Resilience

Day 5: Tibetan Government in Exile

To visit India a visa is required for US citizens. Visa's can take up to a month to secure. You can apply for an e-visa online at https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/evisa/tvoa.html - DYC will not provide you with a visa.
