The Dallas Yoga Center’s Hanuman Fund
What is the Dallas Yoga Center’s Hanuman Fund?
The Dallas Yoga Center’s Hanuman Fund is a scholarship program that assists aspiring yoga and mindfulness students and instructors in their training. Scholarship recipients will receive partial to full funding of their yoga and mindfulness classes or teacher training.
For those applying for financial assistance to take DYC yoga classes, students will be given partial to full funding for drop-in yoga classes based on eligibility and funding availability. In exchange, recipients will be required to complete a seva project at DYC.
For those applying to DYC Teacher Training, upon acceptance into DYC’s program students will recieve scholarship pending funding availability. Following teacher training, recipients of the award will complete one year of seva (a Sanskrit word meaning “selfless service”) by serving as part of the team of Dallas Yoga Centers instructors who lead free outreach yoga programs across the city.
