Lauren A

Lauren has been in tune with the relationship between her body and her wellbeing for as long as she can remember. Through dance, martial arts, skiing, and running, she found the movements of her body as a form of liberation from the world around her. Yoga wasn’t always her favorite form of expression. Not knowing what she had signed up for, her first yoga class pushed Lauren to her limit and she nearly passed out, almost turning her away for good. Through a friend’s encouragement, she gave a yin yoga class a try and found the body mind connection she was looking for. This was a turning point.
 
She embarked on a month-long personal awareness program at her local studio to study mindfulness, Ayurveda, and asana. Eager to continue her training she enrolled and completed her 200-hour RYT at the Dallas Yoga Center. A natural nurturer and teacher, Lauren is thrilled to continue her journey of learning and teaching.
 
Today, as a finance professional at a major insurance company by day, Lauren seeks solace in yoga by night and on the weekends. In her work as a teacher, her focus is on providing the individualized support for her students, recognizing that everyone’s journey and transformation is unique, and arming her students with insight to deepen their own body awareness and movement practice in class and off the mat.

  • Start your practice on the right foot. Dallas Yoga Center offers beginner level classes specifically designed for those new to yoga. Basic postures and breathing techniques will be introduced in a warm and inviting environment for those who cannot touch their toes.
