Concetta Troskie began her journey with movement while choreographing with her friends on the playground in kindergarten. She knew from an early age that her greatest joy comes from moving and from celebrating the wisdom of the body. She continued this passion while dancing in professional companies in New York City and in Barcelona, Spain throughout her twenties. It wasn’t long before she wanted to learn more about the profound connection that she experienced between movement and overall well-being.
Concetta began studying and practicing yoga and mindfulness in New York City in 1999 and completed her teacher training in the Sivananda lineage in 2001. She is a Dance/Movement Therapist, Drama Therapist, Certified Mindfulness Instructor and Licensed Professional Counselor.
Concetta has traveled the world working with and studying with master teachers Thich Nhat Hanh, Sri K Pattabhi Jois, Sivah Rea, Erich Schiffmann and Richard Freeman among others. Concetta has also facilitated meditation and mindfulness workshops internationally. Her classes draw from various yoga lineages and somatic modalities, integrating gentle vinyasa flow, mindful movement and meditation to invite compassionate self-inquiry and spacious relationship with self.
Concetta is currently not instructing any classes.
