Concetta Troskie began her journey with movement while choreographing with her friends on the playground in kindergarten. She knew from an early age that her greatest joy comes from moving and from celebrating the wisdom of the body. She continued this passion while dancing in professional companies in New York City and in Barcelona, Spain throughout her twenties. It wasn’t long before she wanted to learn more about the profound connection that she experienced between movement and overall well-being.
Concetta began studying and practicing yoga and mindfulness in New York City in 1999 and completed her teacher training in the Sivananda lineage in 2001. She is a Dance/Movement Therapist, Drama Therapist, Certified Mindfulness Instructor and Licensed Professional Counselor.
Concetta has traveled the world working with and studying with master teachers Thich Nhat Hanh, Sri K Pattabhi Jois, Sivah Rea, Erich Schiffmann and Richard Freeman among others. Concetta has also facilitated meditation and mindfulness workshops internationally. Her classes draw from various yoga lineages and somatic modalities, integrating gentle vinyasa flow, mindful movement and meditation to invite compassionate self-inquiry and spacious relationship with self.

Soma Vinyasa -This embodied vinyasa flow class integrates somatic movement principles with dynamic asana to help release physical and emotional blocks. Engage in an innovative flow which integrates freedom of expression with functional movements. This practice creates the space to build strength, relieve stress and anxiety, and attune to body wisdom. All levels welcome.
Embodied Vinyasa Flow
An asana/flow class centered around experiential anatomy & somatic principles which supports conscious, free, easeful movement. This movement meditation allows the student to observe habits, increase body awareness, enhance motor learning, sharpen mental focus & increase overall understanding of themselves & the world around them.
Session begins with a short guided meditation - using visualization and breath awareness to calm and center the mind to reduce stress. These techniques can be integrated into a daily meditation practice to use in your daily life.
Navigate the depths of your consciousness using mindfulness techniques pared with yogic insights. This class will begin with gentle movement to open the neck, shoulders and hips followed by concentrated breath work to help ease you into a deeper meditation. Guided imagery and prompts will assist you to concentrate and facilitate your individual healing and calm the intensity of the mind. This class is great for beginners or anyone looking to deepen their mediation practice. This class ends with a focused relaxation so you leave feeling refreshed, renewed and balanced.
All levels welcome; previous background in meditation is not needed to begin.

Vinyasa Mixed Levels
Experience a dynamic flow of yoga postures in which movement is sequenced with the breath. This practice moves at a more moderate pace to build heat, endurance, flexibility, strength and concentration. Sequencing is often built around sun salutations. All levels welcome.
