Vinyasa Flow

This class is taught by:

Laura Tulumbas

Laura has been practicing yoga for over 18 years and teaching for 15+ years. She initially found her practice via the restaurant business: burnt out, exhausted and losing it, she sought out yoga as a way to help manage her stress. Through her practice she found a way to cope and ultimately a way to dive more deeply into possibility and create meaning in this crazy world.

Laura Tulumbas is a Certified Holistic Health Counselor and Lifestyle Coach, AADP, a Certified Yoga Teacher E-RYT 500 with Yoga Alliance and a Reiki Master. She is previously a Certified Anusara Teacher, certified to teach at Virayoga in NYC in 2002 and is presently teaching a form of aligned flow hatha yoga that has evolved from this knowledge along with Rajanaka Tantra, Ayurveda, anatomy, breath, and the subtle body.

Her teachers include but are not limited to Dr. Douglas Brooks, Paul Muller-Ortega, Vaidya (Dr.) Naina Marballi, Cate Stillman, Brenda Villa, Dana Covello, Sharon Rudy, Amy Ippoliti, Elena Brower, Naime Jezzeny, Sianna Sherman, and John Friend. Her greatest teaching resource has been her own exploration of the body and what it has to offer.

In her office in the Wellness Center at DYC, Laura offers one-on-one nutritional counseling as well as and lifestyle counseling. Having seen and experienced the benefits of combining a yoga practice with daily routines and prescriptive eating according to her constitution she delights in educating others about the benefits of this path. She believes when we choose to fully step into our experience of being present and mindful we can make choices that will optimize our health, create vitality and offer us a life that we love.

Laura is a Reiki Master and offers one-on-one healing appointments using Reiki, a Japanese energy healing modality and crystals to unblock prana and move energy to unleash our greatest potential.

Laura is in awe of the elegance and intelligence of the body and she remains curious about how to tap into the potency and the abundance it has to offer. Laura is grateful to all of her teachers especially her two boys who serve as her best teachers, challenging her, loving her, and keeping it real. She is grateful to have a daily practice that serves as a way to refine her experience on a daily basis.

Concetta Troskie

Concetta Troskie began her journey with movement while choreographing with her friends on the playground in kindergarten. She knew from an early age that her greatest joy comes from moving and from celebrating the wisdom of the body. She continued this passion while dancing in professional companies in New York City and in Barcelona, Spain throughout her twenties. It wasn’t long before she wanted to learn more about the profound connection that she experienced between movement and overall well-being.
Concetta began studying and practicing yoga and mindfulness in New York City in 1999 and completed her teacher training in the Sivananda lineage in 2001. She is a Dance/Movement Therapist, Drama Therapist, Certified Mindfulness Instructor and Licensed Professional Counselor.
Concetta has traveled the world working with and studying with master teachers Thich Nhat Hanh, Sri K Pattabhi Jois, Sivah Rea, Erich Schiffmann and Richard Freeman among others. Concetta has also facilitated meditation and mindfulness workshops internationally. Her classes draw from various yoga lineages and somatic modalities, integrating gentle vinyasa flow, mindful movement and meditation to invite compassionate self-inquiry and spacious relationship with self.

Stefanie Tovar

Stefanie began yoga as a touring performing artist in 2004 for health benefits as a Baptiste Power Yogini, but soon realized the many other benefits of practicing yoga. She especially realized how yoga helped her find solace, stability, and peace no matter where her suitcases took her. She began her journey as an instructor in 2007 and received her 200hr Yoga Certification.
Stefanie loves vinyasa yoga, the yogic art of weaving breath with movement to help inspire the spirit, open the heart, and connect with the power and wisdom in the body. She enjoys receiving requests to creatively meet the needs of her practitioners and loves to offer a practice that is holistic, heart felt and safe. Stefanie enjoys teaching various styles of yoga; and honors her teacher Sean Johnson, and the practice of Bhakti Yoga in every class with Harmonium Sounds and Voice. Stef looks forward to sharing in mindful movement and sound with you.

Erin Egan

Erin began practicing yoga 15 years ago as part of her recovery from a back surgery. Over the years, yoga has been a steady constant and a journey of self-discovery. In 2018, she finally decided it was time to deepen her yoga practice and spread her passion for health and wellness to others. Erin completed her 200-hour teacher training at the DYC in July 2018, and is excited to share her knowledge and experience with members of the Dallas community.
She strongly believes the mind body connection is a valuable tool for self-awareness and self care. Erin is interested in creating and exploring a practice that embodies mindfulness, natural alignment, and functional movement, while prioritizing safety and the unique needs of each individual. Erin seeks to find a sustainable practice for all, and hopes to bring each of her students more awareness to the powerful connection between their bodies and minds.
A slow, but dynamic prana filled flow class led by the breath. Non-traditional postures, unique sequences, and meditation blend together to build strength in the legs and core while increasing flexibility in the hips and spine.
